The Neutelings collection comprises the legacy of Willem Neutelings, four centuries of medieval sculpture from France, England and the Netherlands. 30 years after his death, the daughter and son of Neutelings opened a room in the Maastricht Bonnefanten Museum where many treasures are on display. It is the best and most versatile collection in the Netherlands.
The museum asked Keijsers to furnish the room to reflect the design of the Opera, Amsterdam. The room acquired something of the intimacy of Willem Neutelings’ study room, partly due to the special lighting. A museum within a museum. Furthermore, son Theo plans to organise his Christmas dinner here.
