National Museum of Ethnology

National Museum of Ethnology

The National Museum of Ethnology takes you for a walk around the earth. And what makes it special is that you can take a trip in your own country and imagine yourself in the country you are visiting. The museum manages and presents historical treasures from all over the world.

The foundations for the national collection were laid in 1816, and it has now grown into a collection of more than 200,000 objects, which is even impressive in an international comparison. The objects are conserved and studied using the latest insights.

Keijsers was part of the “design & build team”. As a co-creator, we worked on the entire process with the client and interior architect, from design to implementation of the interior elements. Keijsers furnished all the exhibition halls and public rooms in the National Museum of Ethnology.
